Dallas Fort Worth Senior Portrait Photographer
As a Dallas Fort Worth Senior Photographer, I am always privileged to capture these special portraits for high school seniors.
Last fall I met Natalie and had the honor of taking her senior pictures in Dallas at Davis Park in Highland Park and Highland Park Village down the street. She is such a beautiful girl both inside and out and we were able to leave with so many stunning photos from her session.
For seniors, this location is one of my favorites, if not my very favorite. Davis Park lends so much variety between the stair case, draw bridge, creek, ivy, and gorgeous natural surroundings. Right down the street you have Highland Park Village which boasts an upscale shopping area and colorful staircases.
I always hold a phone consultation before my clients book to discuss their vision for their session, as well as go over location options. After Natalie and I talked, I sent her my location list (you may click here to see locations I frequently shoot at). We also discussed hair and makeup as well as wardrobe options. I believe that the planning of your session should be as stress free as possible and I help you every step of the way arranging all the details that will lend to beautiful final senior portraits.
We exchanged photos back and forth leading up to her session with outfit choices and selections. I love to give example pictures to my seniors with the types of wardrobe that photographs well and lends variety to the portraits. I always welcome clients to text me pictures of different combinations and color choices so I can help plan the final wardrobe alongside them.
For girls, I always recommend a casual outfit and a more dressy or formal outfit. I suggest incorporating any hobbies they might have had in high school as well. If they have a cheer uniform, jersey, or musical instrument they played, I ask that they bring it along if they wish to document that part of their high school career. For ladies, accessories and hats always lend another visually appealing element to the portraits and are another suggested element. I also have a wonderful hair and makeup artist I work with and help coordinate prior to your session if desired.
We began Natalie’s session shooting portraits down in the creek then moved up to the main areas of the park with the staircase and ivy. After we completed shooting we headed down the street and captured a few more portraits in Highland Park Village right before the sun set.
It was such a gorgeous evening and with such a beautiful subject her session was truly one of my favorites.
