Dallas Senior Photographer-Twin High School Seniors Portrait Session in Highland Park Dallas
I don’t even know where to begin with this session! As a Dallas senior photographer, it has to be one of my very favorites and I have captured a many Dallas Fort Worth high school senior portraits over the years!
Originally Courtney’s and Carey’s mom contacted me last fall about their high school senior portraits. She explained that they were identical twins and wanted to do their Dallas senior portraits together. They wished to take some images separately and then a few with each other.
As we chatted on the phone, I found out the girls were both homeschooled and they both planned to attend TCU in the fall. I was so excited because I also was homeschooled during high school and I attended and graduated from TCU as well! It was such a small world!
We discussed how both girls loved all things feminine, floral, and vintage (just like myself also!) and how they wanted to incorporate their Love Shack Fancy dresses into their senior photos. I could not have been more thrilled to photograph these stunning twins!
Both girls decided to do their own hair and makeup ( which I don’t normally recommend) but since they had naturally curly hair and felt most comfortable styling it themselves, I told them I understood and would give them makeup pointers. My first pointer was to ensure they did not use heavy highlighter (it does NOT photograph well) and my second tip was to wear more makeup than you do in every day life. They knocked their hair and makeup out of the park! They both showed up looking like movie stars from the old Hollywood era! I also brought along some hats I had on hand and we were able to utilize them in some of their pictures to complete their glamorous vintage look!
We planned for a longer session time than normal since we were really doing two separate senior portrait sessions but in sync on the same evening. I make sure to take time with each girl individually and give them their own Dallas senior portrait experience.
We started our session at Davis Park in Highland Park Dallas and it was simply stunning on the day we went! Numerous azaleas were in bloom as well as various other flowers, and it lent such a beautiful vintage charm which matched their beautiful dresses perfectly. We ended the session right at dusk at Highland Park Village and captured a few images in their more casual outfits.
