Fort Worth Senior Photographer-Southlake Senior Portrait Session
I had the pleasure of photographing stunning Miss Lillie who is a 2023 Southlake Carroll senior! As a Fort Worth senior photographer I always help my seniors plan the perfect location for their senior pictures! Since Lillie loved horseback riding and wanted to incorporate her beautiful white horse into her session, I recommended this beautiful field in Fort Worth with the captivating wide open skies and sunsets! Between the beautiful creek, nature, greenery, and flowing tall grass I knew it would lend to the whimsical senior pictures she envisioned.
Lillie picked the perfect outfits for her Southlake senior pictures. She started out in a long flowing black dress with boots then changed into an adorable bright colored romper. She ended her session with jeans and a fun blouse while she took portraits with her horse! I love that she incorporated some pieces that were more formal along with some that were more casual. It’s also important to choose a variety of outfits spanning from those that are more trendy to those that are classic. I appreciate that you can feel a time period based on the attire but I also cherish the fact that clients can look back decades down the road at some more timeless portraits that stand the test of time. It’s important to choose some pieces that flow and have movement since this lends to a more organic look and gives the senior portraits life. Lillie did a great job of this by choosing a long black dress! Her fun romper with tall white boots was her more trendy piece and her last outfit with jeans and a pretty blouse was perfect for a casual everyday look that painted a picture of her high school days with her horse.
She is as sweet as she is beautiful and was such a natural in front of the camera! It is normal for all sessions to become more and more relaxed and organic as you ease into the session! I always make sure to take hundreds of photos so we have the very best to choose from when I send my clients proofs to pick their favorites! I often recommending saving your favorite outfit as your second outfit so we have time to ease into the session and obtain those organic smiles and poses!
We ended her session by taking a portrait with Lillie and her college banner! She hadn’t told her parents where she had decided to attend college yet and she pulled the banner out as a surprise and way of announcing her final choice!
I had the pleasure of photographing her older brother’s senior portraits at the Fort Worth Stockyards a few years ago, as well as her extended family portraits at her grandparents’ Southlake home, and I love getting to build relationships with families for multiple milestones in their lives!
