Dallas Family Photography-Whimsical Summer Family Portraits in Dallas, Texas

I had the pleasure of capturing this stunning family in the gorgeous nature setting of this Dallas park. Although it was summer and extremely hot outside, we still were able to capture these whimsical summer family portaits.

Part of my job as a Dallas family photographer is knowing which location to recommend based on the time of year (please see my full location list here), and this location is stunning in the Spring through Fall. During the summer when it gets hot and the grass and trees start dying, I love that this location still looks enchanting with the tall overgrown golden grass, rocky pond that glistens with water, and the Crepe Myrtles that bloom filled with pink buds in the summer months.

Mom and I talked about their wardrobe and she wanted children’s portraits that were both old fashioned as well as timeless and elegant. She said that she loved the portraits on my website with the children wearing vintage inspired clothing and carrying small whimsical props. She made sure to dress her sweet children, Henry and Jamie, in vintage clothing (one of my favorite stores for this type of clothing is Janie and Jack) and brought along a small wooden sailboat for Henry to play with in the creek.

As you can see from the images below, we were able to capture some timeless childhood and mommy and me portraits.
