Last Fall Robin came to me expressing she wanted to plan a special family photo shoot in Colleyville, Tx, for her Holiday photos and her mother's Birthday.
When she explained she wanted a tea party setup for a portion of the photo shoot, I was so excited. Having two girls myself, I LOVE all things feminine and vintage. We both collaborated together to execute her vision. We discussed clothing choices, decor, and locations to execute this vintage inspired magical tea party.
We chose the Colleyville Nature Center as the location for the shoot. The pretty pond and picturesque trees was the perfect backdrop for the family portrait session.
She told me she wanted to include her parents, the girls' grandparents, because it was her mother's Birthday. I love extended family sessions, and I know these photos will be so cherished for years to come. I think everyone should have a multi generational photo shoot at least one time!
When they showed up they were wearing these absolutely fabulous hats and formal gowns. It fit perfectly with our tea party theme! Robin was even able to borrow her friend's dog to help entertain the girls (and add to the adorable photos).
Although I normally stay away from props, as I lean towards more timeless portraits and attention on the subject themselves, a tea party is always an exception to this rule!
We not only captured some beautiful portraits, we also had so much fun! Aren't they seriously all such a gorgeous family?!
