DFW Maternity Photographer | Fort Worth Maternity Pictures
I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous mama to be last summer for her maternity portraits with her first baby. She was expecting a sweet baby girl and chose this gorgeous pink gown for her maternity session.
Although it was August and over 100 degrees out, you would never know it! She chose to have her hair and makeup professionally done by one of the makeup artists I partner with, and it held up beautifully under the hot Texas sun. She seriously rocked her session and looked simply stunning despite extreme heat.
When choosing from my location list (found here) this sweet mother said she wanted an overgrown field, so I just knew this park, nestled in the heart of Fort Worth, would be perfect for her maternity session. (To see another session done at this location please click here).
I always start my open field and park sessions approximately an hour before sunset, when the light is soft and pretty. Although very warm, the hot Texas sun made for beautiful golden light, drenching the overgrown field below with its sparking rays. It also lent us a stunning sunset (with a little help from Photoshop!).
Photographing expectant mothers for their maternity portraits is such a special task, and one that I absolutely love! Maternity portraits make beautiful artwork to display on your nursery walls and I even recommend matching the maternity gowns with colors that will coordinate in the nursery. Little ones also love looking back at the pictures when they were in their mommy’s belly. They will be something special to be handed down for generations to come!
