Fort Worth Teen and Senior Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful ballerina one chilly day in January. Her mother called me and said she needed ballet pictures for a local Dallas Fort Worth ballet competition that was around the corner.
As a Southlake senior photographer, I love photographing teens and seniors. I was thrilled to be able to capture a ballerina and plan and photograph a session focusing on the graceful art of ballet.
We talked about different photography locations in and around Southlake, Fort Worth, and Dallas, and finally decided on the Mandalay Canals at Las Colinas.
With their stone architecture, winding canals, and European feel it was the perfect backdrop for ballet portraits. The location embodies elegance, which is fitting description of the dance itself.
Although it was in the 30’s outside, and extremely windy, Sterling did a wonderful job and was so graceful. We captured lots of beautiful images and it made me adore the art of ballet even more. There is so much strength and endurance, yet grace and elegance, needed to be a professional ballerina. You really would never know how cold she was by the way she held her poses.
