Dallas Senior Photographer- Dallas Senior Photography Portrait Session- {Halle 2023 Grapevine Faith Senior Pictures}
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing stunning Miss Halle, who is a 2023 Grapevine Faith senior, for her senior pictures! We chose to do her senior portraits in Dallas at the gorgeous Davis Park and Highland Park Village! Although it was December, we still had beautiful weather and lovely foliage outside. And, as usual, the buildings and lights in Highland Park Village were stunning.
I absolutely loved the elegant Altar’d State lace top and skirt Halle chose to wear down in the creek. It had such a feminine vintage vibe and complimented her beautiful blonde hair!
Her second outfit, her black dress and cowgirl hat, looked amazing also. I just adore hats in senior portraits and I feel like cowgirl hats and boots are always add a fun pop, especially for a Texas girl! One of the biggest tips I echo in my senior style guide is to utilize accessories and layers to add interesting elements and depth to your portraits. I prefer the main outfit in solid colors and the accessories brought in as the final touch to finish off the look.
Her last outfit was edgy and her more trendy piece. Something a bit more trendy fits well against the buildings and upscale city vibes in Highland Park Village and was the perfect compliment to all of the architecture.
As a Dallas senior photographer, I can tell you it really is crucial to plan your outfits for the location and backdrops we plan to utilize. I always encourage my seniors to send me a photo of their outfit choices so I can give feedback on what will photograph well. I also make recommendations on what order to wear the outfits since I know which backdrops we will utilize first and last.
Halle had her hair and makeup done by one of the talented makeup artists I refer clients to, and as you can see, she looked stunning from start to finish. Professional hair and makeup really does add the finishing touches to a session and complete a high end professional portrait experience.
Halle and her mom loved her final images and chose to display them on a wall in her home! It is also important to think about how you want your senior portraits displayed, whether in an album or hanging as prints or canvases on your wall. The last thing you want to do is go through all the time and effort to plan and execute a senior portrait experience and forget about your beautiful senior pictures on a hard drive on your computer.
I loved how Halle’s senior pictures turned out and as your Dallas senior photographer I would love to help you plan your perfect senior portrait experience, from picking the perfect DFW location (my location list may be found here), to choosing wardrobe and accessories that fit your style, to lastly recommending ways to preserve and display your senior pictures for years to come!
