Southlake Texas Senior Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing stunning Miss Kendall recently. She is a 2022 senior at Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. She wanted her senior portraits to encompass nature and the beautiful outdoors! She also asked to incorporate her Jeep in her senior photos at the end of the session. I just love when my high school senior portrait clients bring along something that has special meaning during their high school years!
As one of the first steps of the planning process, I always ask the senior or the senior’s parent if there is anything special that they wish to include in their senior portraits. Some high school seniors have included their instruments, sports jerseys, locations that have a special meaning, or their high school cars or trucks in their senior pictures. It adds a special touch and helps them remember what their interests and passions were at that stage in their life!
Not only did Kendall bring her Jeep, she also brought along a small painter’s palette since she is an artist and loves to paint. I just love that she added so many special personal touches to her senior portrait session.
The location we used for Kendall’s senior portraits was just perfect! A storm had just blown through, and the wind and gorgeous cloudy sky added such an element of beauty to the finished portraits. Different weather can change the feel of the pictures, and in a location with such overgrown natural beauty, the dramatic wind and clouds added such a stunning touch to the final images.
When I plan and discuss senior pictures with my clients we always talk about wardrobe, location, and any personal elements the senior wishes to incorporate. Every high school senior is different so the planning phase is crucial to executing final senior pictures that encompass their individual vision.
